Orbit is a local-first Mac app that helps photographers find work from across their career and decide what to post next.
hello@orbit.photo01 The marks
Orbit should feel quiet around the work.
Use the primary lockup when space allows. Use the orbital mark alone only when Orbit is already named nearby.
02 Color
Signals, not decoration.
Space Black keeps attention on the photographs. Studio Orange marks a decision. Signal Green means ready, connected, or complete.
03 Product imagery
Show the archive doing real work.
These are current product surfaces, not concept art. Keep the interface uncropped when the context matters and preserve the photographs' original color.
04 The story
Built from a photographer's own archive.
Joseph West built Orbit to solve a working problem: years of finished photographs were safely stored, but finding the right frame to post still took too long.
Orbit builds a searchable view around existing Pixieset downloads, Lightroom exports, Finder folders, and external drives. The originals stay where they are. From there, Grid, Canvas, and Infinity support three different jobs: retrieve, arrange, and rediscover.
The longer-term direction is explainable audience intelligence: connect what was posted and how it performed back to the archive, then make the next recommendation visible and accountable.

About Orbit
Orbit is a local-first Mac app for photographers. It makes photographs across drives and exports searchable in one place, helps working photographers rediscover unused work, and connects published images back to explainable performance evidence. Orbit is built in Houston by photographer Joseph West and is currently in early access.
